 The Benton Franklin SafeKids Coaliton seeks to reduce unintentional injuries to children by concerted community action, including promoting public awareness of unintentional childhood injury prevention practices and facilitating public appreciation for the safety measures necessary to protect children. The SAFEKIDS campaign is the first nationwide childhood injury prevention organization. What's the best car seat to buy? What's the safest type of playground? Which household plants might be hazardous to my child: The National Safe Kids Campaign Online has answers to these frequently asked questions, as well as fact sheets on the most common types of Childhood perils, from airway obstruction to injuries caused by shopping carts. Is your child's car seat safe?Benton Franklin Health District has certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians available to answer questions and check your seat if necessary.
