Assessment (CHA) is defined as a method of collecting, analyzing, and using
data to educate and mobilize communities, develop priorities, generate
resources, and plan actions to improve public health. Assessing our
community’s health is crucial to program development and implementation. The
Benton Franklin Health District provides community health data to the public,
agencies, providers, and anyone interested in learning more about health
disparities and the effects on the community.

All sudden and unexpected
deaths of children age 0-18 that occur in Benton Franklin Counties are reviewed
by a team of community professionals, in cooperation with the Washington State Child
Death Review system, to identify factors that may have been preventable and
implement possible prevention strategies. For more information or to
