Britt was born and raised in Kennewick.  She graduated from Kennewick High School to pursue a degree in biology and Spanish from WSU.  Upon graduation, Britt joined the BFHD in 2005.  She speaks both German and Spanish and has found that being trilingual is a very useful skill.  Britt’s territory includes Pasco, Prosser, and Paterson.

Erin was born and raised in Pasco.  She earned a degree in Biology from Whitworth University in 2006.  Erin joined the Health Department in the summer of 2006 and has been inspecting the Richland and West Richland area since.  She enjoys learning all the aspects of the food industry and the science behind food safety.  Erin also thinks that working with the public on a daily basis keeps her job interesting!

 

Jessica has been at BFHD protecting the food served to the public in East Pasco, North Franklin County and Benton City since June 2005.  She graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology.  Jessica has enjoyed playing soccer and softball for years and continues to do so.  Her most recent new interest is bowling.  She enjoys traveling, spending time with her dogs, and playing sports with her friends.

Jessica ha estado en BFHD protegiendo la comida servida al publico en el Este de Pasco, en el Norte del Condado de Franklin y Benton City desde Junio del 2005.  Ella se gradúo de la Universidad de Central Washington con su Diploma en Biología.  Jessica ha disfrutado jugar fútbol y baseball por años y continua haciéndolo.  Su mas reciente interés es el boliche.  Ella disfruta el viajar, pasar el tiempo con sus perros, y jugando deportes con sus amigos.

Judy

Judy was born and raised in Idaho.  She has a BS in Microbiology/Biochemistry and a BS in Medical Technology from Idaho State University.  In spite of her last name, Judy did not work with food safety until she joined the health department in July 2002.  Judy’s territory includes west Kennewick and south Richland.

 

Pam comes to BFHD from Richland. She received her degree from San Diego University in Microbiology and worked as a Medical Technologist at Mercy Hospital in San Diego. A long time resident of the Tri-Cities area, she worked as a Medical Technologist at Our Lady of Lourdes and began working with the Health District in 2004.  Pam’s territory includes east Kennewick.

 

Susan, the supervisor of the program, joined the Benton-Franklin Health District in 2000 as the surveillance program educator.  Excited by the public health work, she was awarded the Washington Rookie Sanitarian of the Year Award in 2001.  In 2003, she left BFHD to work with the Department of Health food safety program in Olympia and was fortunate to work with industry and food safety professionals around the state and nation.  Missing the fine staff at the Health District, she returned to BFHD two years later.  In late 2007, she became the program manager.  With the dedicated, skillful, and diligent BFHD Food Program Staff listed above, her goal is to continue the Health District’s dedication to working with our local industry and community partners to protect the residents and visitors from illness in our community.
