Handwashing Trailer
In 2002, the Environmental Health Program designed and specially-equipped a trailer to be used for handwashing in the community. The trailer is fitted with 3 plumbed sinks, an onboard hot water heater, and 2 water holding tanks. The trailer can be connected to the city water supply or can use the onboard water tanks if city water is not available.
We have provided the handwashing trailer for numerous community events in our area. To see if the handwashing trailer can come to your event, contact Environmental Health at (509)460.4205 or email the program.
About the front design
The image on the front of the trailer was created in 2002 by a student, Summer M., in our community. Her design had the theme of "Germs Be Gone" and was chosen for the trailer after community-voting. Summer's concept was a voter favorite, many of the voters commented on her exciting use of color.
